In the realm of diplomacy, international relations, and administrative intricacies, I have charted a path that reflects my unwavering commitment to learning, growing, and contributing. As one of the two student representatives to the Board of Educations of the French School of Ankara and Head of its Student Council, I have been entrusted with the privilege of shaping pivotal decisions pertaining to the institution's functioning, administration, and budget. Distinguished by the presence of an Embassy representative at each assembly, this dynamic blend of minds and perspectives fuels the dialogue and perspectives exchanged.

It was during these deliberations that I was introduced to Mr. SOULIER, the COCAC (Councellor for Cooperation and Cultural Action) from the Embassy. His multifaceted role encompasses the very realms that I am fervently drawn to. A realization dawned upon me that he, the embodiment of my professional aspirations, was destined to guide my internship journey. My genuine interest in cultural diplomacy led me to actively participate in a spectrum of cultural activities orchestrated by esteemed French institutions—the Institut Français, the Alliance Française, and, of course, the French Embassy. Through these events, I crossed paths with an array of influential figures within the French diplomatic echelons, notably Mr. Sébastien De COURTOIS, the Director of the French Institute in Ankara, and Mr. Philippe DUAMELLE, President of UNICEF Turkey. Their insights, shaped by years of diplomatic experience, fueled the embers of my passion for diplomacy and international relations.

Engaging in political discourse and immersing myself in diplomatic broadcasts, I sought to expand my cognitive horizons. My participation in social excursions curated by the French Consulate allowed me to observe, contemplate, and learn from the fabric of diplomatic life. This journey of exploration culminated in a pivotal moment—the inauguration of the Micro-Folie project at the French Institute of Ankara. It was on this occasion that I seized the chance to approach Mr. SOULIER with a request that resonated deeply within me—to partake in an internship under his esteemed guidance. Graciously, he welcomed my proposal, an affirmative gesture that resonated with my aspirations and sent ripples of excitement through my core.

His diligence and rigorous work ethic stood as a testament to his character, and his unyielding curiosity was remarkable.

As the days progressed and the commencement of my internship neared, a confluence of emotions swelled within me—excitement, humility, and a deep-seated sense of gratitude. To me, this experience promised not only a rare glimpse into the intricate tapestry of diplomatic life but also an opportunity to be mentored by individuals whose experiences and wisdom I held in utmost regard. The anticipation of acquiring practical insights, navigating the complexities of a diplomatic institution, and observing firsthand the dynamic interplay between cultures propelled me forward.

My time at the French Embassy stood as a testament to the potential that lies dormant within us until circumstances and guidance kindle its spark. With humility as my compass, I embraced this remarkable opportunity to learn, grow, and evolve within a diplomatic environment. The fusion of formal etiquette, cultural exchange, and shared vision has left an indelible mark on my professional trajectory, instilling in me an enduring commitment to fostering diplomatic relationships and international understanding. As I reflect on this transformative journey, I am profoundly grateful for the guidance, knowledge, and the virtues that have enriched my pursuits in diplomacy, forever shaping my aspirations for the future.
