Organized by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and the National Union of School Sport (UNSS), the first Dance Challenge of the AEFE is a joint sporting and artistic project, proposed to all French high schools.

It allows students and educational teams to mobilize around a common project, to stay in motion by promoting regular physical practice and also to preserve the feeling of belonging to the sports community of the network. Following selections, I obtained the title of Young Judge at Artistic Committee, awarded to me by the AEFE and the UNSS.

Participating in the inaugural Dance Challenge of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and the National Union of School Sport (UNSS) was an experience that can only be described as transformative. This joint sporting and artistic endeavor provided an extraordinary platform for French high school students across the globe to converge and express themselves through the art of dance. The event symbolized unity, collaboration, and the pursuit of excellence in both physicality and artistic expression.

My journey commenced with a resolute motivation to immerse myself in a project that seamlessly amalgamated my passion for dance and my desire to be part of a larger community. The prospect of contributing to a shared vision while nurturing my commitment to regular physical activity was a driving force behind my participation. Furthermore, the opportunity to foster a sense of camaraderie within the sports community of the AEFE network resonated deeply, underscoring the event's significance in maintaining bonds that transcend geographical boundaries.

Having successfully navigated the rigorous selection process, I was humbled and honored to be bestowed with the title of Young Judge by the esteemed AEFE and UNSS. This accolade not only validated my dedication to the art of dance but also instilled in me a sense of responsibility towards upholding the integrity of the competition. As a Young Judge, I was entrusted with the crucial task of evaluating performances through the lens of the "artistic committee," a responsibility I approached with unwavering enthusiasm and utmost sincerity.

The event itself was a spectacle of creative prowess and diversity. Students from various age groups, ranging from 4th Grade to Last Year of High School, came together in teams of 6 to 12 individuals, each reflecting a vibrant tapestry of talents and backgrounds. The emphasis on inclusivity and respect for diversity was evident not only in the composition of the teams but also in the various roles assigned to students, transcending the role of mere dancers. Young judges like myself, along with young coaches-choreographers, organizers, and reporters, played an integral role in contributing to the multifaceted success of the challenge.
