Can KOÇAK
"Scientia Dux Vitae Certissimus"
I was born in 2004 and completed my primary education at Tevfik Fikret High School in Ankara, graduating with academic high honors. During middle school, I passed the entrance exam of the French Embassy's Lycée Charles de Gaulle. In 2022, as the only student in my cohort admitted through a single exam, I graduated as valedictorian. I was accepted to Paris Dauphine-PSL University, where I have been pursuing a degree in Mathematics and Economics.
Outside the school, always keen to do well, I have never stopped my interests in fine arts, literature, history and new technologies. As a student involved both in the instances of my establishments and in community associations, I have been developing each of my points of interest in the best institutions and acquiring essential skills for the requirements of the 21st century. Ambitious, I know how to take advantage of my undeniable human qualities of listening and solidarity with unwavering rigor.

ROBOTICS COMPETITION
Under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team.
FIRST Robot Inspector
As an official FIRST Robot Inspector, I am entrusted with the responsibility of meticulously evaluating the mechanical, electronic, and software components of the industrial-scale robots developed by participating teams to ensure compliance with the standards set forth by the competition, which evolve each season. In addition to this critical task, I actively engage with teams during regional competitions to provide technical support, address any glitches, and facilitate enhancements to their robots.
Witnessing the fervor and dedication displayed by young individuals as they demonstrate their proficiency in STEAM through their robot creations is truly inspiring. My involvement in the competition not only reinforces my commitment to upholding the integrity of the event but also reignites the excitement I once experienced when I myself participated as a competitor, navigating the same steps of team establishment and progression through the competition.
Founding Captain, Chief Engineer
06 Angora holds the honor of being the first and only team from a French school abroad to take part annually in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). FRC stands as the preeminent and most esteemed among the four annual competitions orchestrated by FIRST. It beckons the participation of high school students worldwide, who may congregate to establish their own teams. Within the ambit of this competition, team constituents assume the mantle of resource acquisition, cultivation of team branding, collaborative teamwork, and the conceptualization, as well as the programming, of a robot of industrial proportions within the confines of stringent regulations, delimited resources, and a compressed six-week timeframe.
